Position: Market Analyst
Report to: Strategic Analysis Director, Intermediates
Location: Shanghai, HKNW Office
Main Responsibilities:
-Perform industry research and competitive analysis related to nylon and its related value chains
-Develop market points-of-view for products including supply/demand, product balances and trade flows, cost stacks, and margin forecasting
-Build competitor profiles and collect market intelligence on capacity, trade flows, price information, etc.
-Develop and manage market analysis models. Support decision making by analyzing price and market data and generating reports out of the models
-Deliver digest of consultant’s report for internal knowledge sharing
-Support project analysis and intelligence collection
-Improve internal knowledge system and documentation process.
-Assuming responsibility for 100% compliance with the laws, regulations, company policy, and industry standards applicable to this role
Main Requirements:
-Excellent communication skills (Mandarin Chinese and English)
-Excellent analytical skills
-Ability to work independently, self-directed
-Capable to participate in conversations with senior management
-Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and consultants
-Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, chemistry, engineering, economics, or related discipline
Knowledge & Skills Preferred:
-2+ years of experience in market analysis, economics, or commercial/business development
-Experience providing market analysis services in the energy or chemical industries
-Experience in financial modeling and database management
-Master's degree or higher in business, chemistry, engineering, economics, or related discipline
